Sarab Sahni, a New York City based film director, draws upon her immigrant background and multicultural upbringing to weave stories in her films. With a diverse range of experiences living in various countries and embracing different cultures, she explores themes of women, loss, identity, and cultural differences. Through her artistry, she seeks to create narratives that resonate with audiences and foster connections among individuals from all walks of life, celebrating the beauty of diversity and shared human experiences.

Her work has played in festivals around the world, winning multiple awards in various categories. My Miracle Boy made its debut at the 2023 Big Apple Film Festival in New York City, while her documentary Teem Khan: A Story of Kindness had its premiere on paus.tv in London in 2022.

While her primary focus is directing films, she frequently lends her abilities in various capacities such as a Script Supervisor, Assistant Director, Production Assistant and a Colorist when she is not in the director's chair. Her latest project was a collaboration as the colorist for Destination Oak Tree Road, a documentary by Vyas Productions for NJ PBS. Sarab earned a minor in Studio Arts with a focus on Photography during her undergraduate years. Since then, she has been actively involved in capturing the everyday lives of individuals from diverse backgrounds around the world. When not engaged in film projects, Sarab channels her creativity through diverse photographic styles.
